3 months from now

Just after Hermosa, SD conv. finishes, plans are that I fly out of Kansas City on Monday, June 23rd arriving in Warsaw on the 24th and then taking a night train arriving into Lutsk on the 25th. Likely we’ll then be at the KP conv. place on the morning of the 26th in time for the conv. there where I’m usually at. That is the place where the man of the home, Dima, has a door, window and furniture factory. I missed one year there when I was at the other side of Ukraine for the other one we have that same week. Actually this year we have 4 weeks in a row and don’t have two at the same time as we have previously. I won’t be at all 4 though as we don’t all go to each place. I’ll be at Bialystok also which is our bigger conv. place where all the workers on our staff are with the visitors and a good number of the friends. Bobby Lewis from western SD graduates from High School this spring and will have a month with us also during my first month back. He’ll meet me when we switch planes in Chicago. We’ll be glad to have his help at the conv.’s and other meetings in July. I know the friends will be happy to meet him also. Dale Benjamin is one of the visiting brothers I’ve met before. Also, Phyllis Williams from right here in SD will be at two places over yonder.

Kenda's girls and their doll collection

When I returned from Ukraine last summer I couldn't believe all the barbie dolls in the bedroom of two of Kenda's girls. So they lined them up for a photo taken from a cell phone. Thought you might like to take a look.

Wilmot farm

I thought you'd all like to see what LeRoy Weekly's family farm place looks like as of March 2008. It brings back memories of being there when we were growing up. We were there several times about 30 years ago.

Family Birthday's

Here is the link to the Cousin birthday's. Notice it'll be over on the right column for your convenience anytime.

As you'll notice, Kenda will be 38 tomorrow and my dad will be 73 on Monday morning. Happy Birthday to both of them.

There are some of the cousins and relatives that I don't have birthday's for to add to the list so if you know the birthday's of your brothers, sisters, spouses or children let me know.

we made a trip to SD

We returned to Sprigfield last night. We went to Sturgis to be with my nephwews and Neices who lost their mother last week. Rose was in poor health for a long time so it's one of those sweet release type deaths. Of course she will be missed, always sad to lose a parent.

Once a week

I promised I'd write something here once a week, so here goes. I wanted to write more and post pictures and get a link up here for all the info of birthday's, etc., or our cousins, but I was working on other things this week. We'll be in Watertown tomorrow and then we go to Pierre in the evening. We're on our way for a funeral in Sturgis on Monday. She is my aunt on my dads side of the family. Rose Hettich. Dad's brothers wife, she died on her 78th birthday. Dad's brother, Willard, died just 4 months before his wife. So we'll return to Madison on Tuesday and won't see you in Rapid City this time, Tammy and family or Dennis and Linda. Maybe another time. We are glad to hear from you from time to time though. Hopefully Lyle and Kay in Parkston will come online to this blog eventually and we'll welcome them. Also, Cindy in Florida, etc., etc.

Take care. Don't forget to change your clocks ahead tonight. You'll have one less hour to sleep though. Your cousin, Duane Hettich

Stevens Raiders in our family :(

I sure never knew we had Raiders in our Weekly family cousins. Amanda Kress graduated from there in 2006. Maybe Anthony did also, earlier? I was a Cobbler so have to rub it in a little bit. I guess Tammy raised them on the rich side of town. I'm glad to get to know your family a little better through this blog. I'm in Wilmot today and took 3 pictures on my mobile phone of your old farm place north of town so will post them sometime.

Love, Duane
