news from down south

We are at Little Rock at Kenda's for a few days. we were planning to come this weekend but yesterday evening she called telling us about a friend being killed in a car accident. friend of ours too. His wife is one of Kenda's best and closest friends. so we came right down. we can help out a little, so Kenda can be with her friend and be a comfort to her. also to get ready for the funeral. Which will be Saturday. It seems like Aaron might have gone to sleep and went across the median and in crashed into a big truck. it was early morning and he was traveling to work quite a ways. only 32 yrs old and they have 2 small childern.

News from Rapid City

Hi All:

I am in my last week of college and will graduate on May 10th. I am so excited to finally have it all behind me. You are never too old to further your education. I just think it is much harder after 40 than it was when I was 20. I have to get through finals this week first. I am including a picture of Anthony's family. They sure are a smiley family and the girls are going so quickly.

Down in Iowa

This little post comes from Iowa. It is good to be here for 2 weeks. Now tomorrow we head up to MN and I'll be in various towns there for the next month returning to SD on May 19.

I have to put my two cents worth in here again. That may be more than it's worth. We are doing OK here it sure has rained a lot this past few weeks. wish some would come in July or Aug instead.
We plan to travel to Iowa in a couple weeks to be with Duane when he's around Des Moines. for a day or two.
We will also be at Hermosa in June and willl be taking Duane to the airport in Kansas City that Monday, If all is well

This and That

I see Aunt Delores Kruse has a birthday coming up next week on the 13th. I guess that’ll be next Sunday a week from now. I’ll be in Watertown again tomorrow (maybe I’ll look her up again if she isn’t working in the evening) and leave there Monday morning for Iowa.

Here is my schedule in Iowa this month

Wed. April 9 - Belle Plaine
Sun. April 13 - Grinnell
Wed. April 16 - Webster City
Sun. April 20 - Huxley

Then from there we have the privilege of going up to some special meetings in Minnesota. The places I’ll be at are as follows.

Sun. May 4 - Eden Prairie
Tues. May 6 - Cottonwood
Sun. May 11 - Heron Lake
Tue. May 13 - Kasota
Sun. May 18 - Stewartville

After MN specials there will be about 2 weeks in SD to make some other visits and likely see some with whom I haven't had much of a visit yet. Then I'll have the privilege of Hotchkiss, CO and Hermosa SD conv.'s in June, all being well.

It’ll be good to see some of you along the way either before we get to Rapid City in mid-June or out there at that time near Rapid City.
